Tasks
-As a CBRE Laboratory Instrument Services Sr. Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and complete the major repairs of scientific instrumentation. -Oversee the development of equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures. -Impact the quality of own work. -Review and document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed. -Troubleshoot, service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work. -Operate test equipment. This includes multimeters, temperature standards, optical standards and liquid flow meters. -Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. -Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding. -Locate part sources, estimate costs, and prepare requisitions. -Coordinate the removal of equipment requiring extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance periods. -Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. -Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements. Communicate with customer staff and outside contractors about the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment. -Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment. If needed, start corrective action and documentation. -Perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration on a variety of laboratory equipment, including HPLC/ UPLC systems, LCMS systems, gas chromatographs, incubators, centrifuge, and microscope. -Track instrument and part reliability; make alternate service, supplier, and parts recommendations.

What You Bring
-Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. -Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. -Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. -Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. -Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach. -High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law. -In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. -Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them. -Requires knowledge, training, and experience related to analytical instrumentation to include HPLC/UPLC systems, gas chromatographs, LCMS systems
