Overview

Lead SAS commissioning, testing, maintenance and client liaison for substation automation.

Tasks

-Prepare final Commissioning report highlighting problem areas, recommended engineering changes, improvements in organizational efficiency and personnel performance evaluations to ensure that experience gained from each Commissioning is fed back to PM Team. -Recommend field changes beneficial to plant operations or necessary for efficient commissioning. -Exchange technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. -Recording and reporting of Quality Objectives & KPI data -Prepare progress reports of activities performed by Commissioning group and highlight any negative events such as delays, design/erection errors, missing spares etc. -Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. -Build strong relationship with GA customers and business stakeholders; projects and operations teams, contractors and system integrators. -Responsible for activities related to SAS commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization commissioning work, management activities related to this scope and coordination with Client for Daily activities . -Ensuring compliance to PMH, GRID Quality & EHS Policies and procedures -Prepare monthly progress reports of activities performed by Commissioning group and highlight any negative events such as delays, design/erection errors, missing spares etc. -Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. -Check those safe procedures – Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, LOTO and all high-risk activities are followed during operation sequences and in use of equipment and materials. -Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. -Advise team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters, and collaborate with others to solve issues. -Ensure safe procedures – Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, LOTO and all high-risk activities are followed during operation sequences and in use of equipment and materials. -Collaborate with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. -Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes, and Spirit and Letter compliance rules. Resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner -Create issues resolving procedures. -Resolve issues using established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. -On time reporting and Prepare test plan and associated test procedures -Perform all activities related to the testing and validation of an equipment, facility or plant in accordance to the design objectives or specifications for operational use, including performance services, and performance tests

What You Bring

-+2 years of experience in training, utility communication or electrical network protection -NG SA CSD team leader approval is a plus -Degree in Electrical engineering. ( Electrical includes: electronica , communication and Power ) -Experience in SCADA system as well SAS system with technical skills using PACIS/Zenon /DSAgile/Aview/OI software -Excellent knowledge in Network, Cybersecurity for OT , IEC61850 protocol , Modbus , IEC101 , IEC 104 and IEC103 -Excellent reporting, presentation and written communication skills in English ( Arabic is advantage ) -+7 years of experience in DCS/SAS systems -Experience in communication with Protection and control system as well as IEDs integration -Team oriented and collaborative approach including outstanding listening skills and ability to manage through influence. -Genuine commitment to EHS culture and commitment to I&D agenda -Ability to communicate with customer, prepare site activity schedule and deliver on time -Ability to learn and expand work scope in GEV products portfolio -Technical background for SAS systems ( Alstom, GE and KSA experience or R&D will be advantage) -Research and development experience is a plus -Ability to travel 60% or more out site base city.
