Manage product lifecycle and support product managers for energy solutions

Tasks
-Contributes to business reviews and planning sessions. -Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs. -Represent Product Management on manufacturing related initiatives and activities for roles related to hardware portfolio. -Support for industry events, internal sales meetings, Landis+Gyr’s Exchange, and customer specific meetings. -Create and maintain Product Catalog Information. -Contributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Collaboration with R&D, Deployment, Sales and Marketing, and Supply Chain teams. -Develop customer communications (e.g. Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, Release Notes) -Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy. -Owns the management of sustainment of existing product offerings. -Works with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and Training. -Supports R&D feasibility/traceability reviews. -Work alongside cross functional teams to develop and execute the overall strategy for assigned products. -Works in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectations. -Ensures all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionality. -Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers. -Supports Landis+Gyr’s quality processes. -Works on assigned product dependencies and interrelationships to deliver a complete customer solution (hardware/software) rather than just a “Product”.

What You Bring
-Understanding of marketing concepts/market research. -Thorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineering. -Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking. -Understands market research for addressing market and/or business needs for a product, including awareness of market trends, direction and competition landscape. -Organizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deployment. -Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in engineering or computer science. -Agile software development process experience for roles related to software portfolio. -Formal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process is desired. -Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. -Knowledge of existing and emerging software development technologies for roles related to software portfolio. -Critical thinking, communication and analytical skills. -At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience required. -Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) and basic knowledge of utility space. -Ability to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationship.
