Tasks

To support the Facilities and Estates Manager in ensuring the housing estate, apartment buildings and its communal areas are safe, clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents. The Facilities Coordinator provides a visible presence on the estate, carrying out and inspecting minor repairs, reporting issues, supporting residents, and working closely with your colleagues and contractors. -To report any repairs or defects to the Repairs Team. -Check play areas and outdoor equipment for safety. -To conduct all activities in a manner which is safe to yourself and others. To be aware and to act in accordance with the Association’s Health and Safety Policy. -Monitor lighting, heating, and other systems within communal areas. -Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, safety checks, and incidents. -Manage waste disposal areas, including bins and recycling facilities. -Report health and safety risks promptly. -Carry out minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, tightening fittings, or unblocking drains. -Facilities Coordinators are responsible for communal areas only. -Conduct routine checks of fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits. -To supervise the security and proper use of the building and its facilities. -To carry our pre and post inspection of repairs as required within the curtilage of your schemes and wider community as directed. -Monitor contractor performance and compliance with site rules. -Maintain cleanliness of communal areas including entrances, stairwells, lifts, corridors, and shared facilities. -To inspect daily all relevant buildings, lifts, carpark and grounds. -To carry out pre and post inspection of non-technical issues that are relevant to scheme communal and residential premises. -To conduct all activities in a manner which is safe to the Facilities Coordinator and others. -Report repair needs to the Customer Service Centre, Repairs Team or relevant contractors. -Ensure doors, gates, and entry systems are secure and functioning. -Liaise with contractors and inspectors to ensure work is carried out effectively. -Record and report incidents of anti-social behaviour or vandalism. -Have responsibility for ensuring cleaning materials/supplies are maintained as issued. -To co-operate with and engage fully in fire drills arranged by the Employer in accordance with Work instructions. -Act as a first point of contact for residents regarding communal maintenance issues. -To co-ordinate the grounds maintenance contract and to cut grass and prune plants and -Maintain outdoor communal areas such as gardens, courtyards, and pathways. -Clear snow, ice, leaves, and litter to ensure safe access. -Address basic hygiene issues and report pest infestations.

What You Bring

Tuath Housing are seeking two full time permanent caretakers to maintain our north county Dublin and our Citywest schemes. The north country Dublin post will require a full driving licence and daily access to your own car. -To be aware and actin accordance with both the Employer’s and the Authority where appropriate where applicable Policy/Policies in respect of Health and Safety matters.
