The Role

Assist property manager with leasing, resident services, and office admin.

Tasks

-Report accidents and emergency situations to the Property Manager, Regional Manager and/or Human Resources immediately and prepare proper reports. -Build and maintain residents’ confidence and foster good relations. -Deliver outstanding customer service. -Maintain financial records for the community, including resident ledgers and cash receipt journals. -Adhere to all company accounting policies and procedures. -Perform clerical functions such as typing, filing, report writing, telephone answering and other related tasks. -Maintain a high work safety attitude, including the use of proper PPE when necessary. -Collect rents and handle delinquent accounts, under the supervision of the Property Manager. -Adhere to all budgets. -Call Property Manager if emergency, sick or going to be out of work. -Handle all details of move-ins, move-outs and lease renewals. -Work within the established budgets, but not permitted to authorize any expenditures without approval. -Maintain maximum occupancy with minimal vacancy and credit loss. *10 day vacancy maximum. -Adhere to all company policies and procedures. -Work with residents to establish good resident relations. -Adhere to and obey Fair Housing Laws. -Actively market and promote apartment rentals and move-ins. -Make bank deposits. -The Assistant Property Manager will assist in the entire operation of the apartment community. -Prepare, process, and review leases and related forms. -Notify the Property Manager of any vacations or absences (30 days in advance unless it is an unforeseen circumstance). -Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe and well-maintained community.

What You Bring

-Management Experience Preferred -Must have knowledge of basic office procedures. -Must have strong knowledge on resident/landlord relationships. -Must have knowledge of accounting and computer skills. -Other physical requirements such as lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, reaching, etc. may be required in performing your duties as Assistant Property Manager. -Real Page Experience Preferred -The Assistant Property Manager position requires extensive mobility. Frequent inspections and employee supervision require climbing stairs, inspecting breezeways, vacant apartments, new move-ins, etc. -Drug and Background Tests -Must have strong sales skills. -Previous Leasing Experience- 2 Years +
