Tasks
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a maintenance team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet goals related to repairing plant equipment, minimizing downtime, and meeting safety goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help their team and company meet these goals, while working in conjunction with the production and management teams. -Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards -Construct fixtures as required -Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff as required -Creates a schedule and performs preventative maintenance and regular inspections on equipment -Maintains safe working conditions and ensures a safety mindset, especially as it relates to working on equipment and using tools and machinery -Orders tools, equipment, supplies and services necessary for repairs and maintenance -Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace -Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution -Directs maintenance team members in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment -Troubleshoots electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair -Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members -Removes and/or installs fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation -Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures -Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds -Provides coaching and corrective feedback timely as well as administers disciplinary processes up to and including termination, as necessary

What You Bring
-Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes and using fractions -Welding skills preferred -Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel -High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred -Forklift and Crane Certification or ability to obtain is required -Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees -Must have experience in the maintenance field, at least 2 years is preferred -Must have previous supervisory or leadership experience -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills -Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment -Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment -Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously -Ability to review and understand machine blueprints -Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems -Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred -Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal
