The Role

Overview

Lead cost management for high‑value construction projects, post‑contract, in the Middle East

Tasks

-Manages the resources across several projects, all within the established budgets. -Manages quality control and ensures all procedures are complied with. -Manages projects and resources according to the requirements of the project and acts as primary point of contact for clients on mid-scale projects. -Supervises and mentors more junior members of staff to enable their development, assisting with the graduate development programme where appropriate. -Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports. -Manages benchmarking, data collection, internal reporting. -Accountable for a variety of deliverables throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects, generally within an end market sector. -Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.

What You Bring

-Experienced cost management professional with minimum 12 years in the construction industry, including minimum of 5 years in Dubai or the Middle East. -Ideally involved primarily in Post-Contract roles, having managed high-profile landmark projects and has led teams of larger than 6. -Ability to take ownership and lead work under minimal direction. -Chartered RICS Membership (MRICS) -Experience in management and assessment of claims, and strong contract administration skills (FIDIC) for both consultants and contractors. -Minimum 5 years in the Middle East -Minimum 12 years post graduate -Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or other Construction related field. -Experience in leading projects with large CAPEX values exceeding US$ 200 million. -Ability to provide advisory on procurement and phasing strategies, consultant appointments, contractor selection, support feasibility studies, pre-contract estimating including design to budget responsibilities and see through the post-contract phase with contracts close-out. -Experience in a range of asset types including High-End Residential, Commercial and Hospitality.
