Junior Buyer/Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Manage project cost forecasting, procurement and contract variations for construction projects

Key Responsibilities

• variation orders

Tasks

-Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer in a timely manner -Vetting tenders and speaking with wholesalers and suppliers to help manage costs -Variations and claims - facilitate the resolution of disputes relating to outstanding payments to subcontractors and creditors -Producing monthly contract reports detailing current status of the contracts, including cash flow forecasts and liabilities -Produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value -Provide input in construction project commercial/legal/strategic meetings -Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget -Ensure that each sub-contractors account is managed strictly in accordance with their terms and conditions -Preparing forecast reports for procurement of materials / labour and all other associated items

What You Bring

-Extensive experience in the QS / Buying sector -Previous experience and qualifications as a QS or Buyer -Knowledge of the residential and construction market
