Tasks

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager – Commercial Sales to drive growth within our commercial client base. You’ll focus on one-off sales opportunities, including complex tenders and proposals, where experience in bid preparation and commercial deal structuring will be crucial. Reporting into the Commercial Sales leadership team, you’ll own the full sales cycle – from identifying opportunities, responding to tenders, and closing deals, through to maintaining strong client relationships that ensure repeat business and long-term satisfaction. -Collaborate with engineering, delivery, product, and operations teams to design solutions that meet client needs. -Build and maintain trusted relationships with commercial clients to deliver integrated charging solutions. -Drive new customer acquisition in the commercial segment, ensuring consistent growth against targets. -Convert pipeline opportunities into signed contracts with strong commercial outcomes. -Gather client feedback, analyse satisfaction, and act on insights to improve customer experience. -Manage the end-to-end sales life cycle (including tendering process, from submission through to successful award.) from prospecting through to closing deals. -Stay across EV industry trends and contribute commercial insights back into JET Charge’s growth strategy.

What You Bring

This role full-time based out of our Port Melbourne office (with a hybrid working arrangement). Applicants must be Australian citizens or hold Australian residency with full working rights. -Strong stakeholder management skills with a customer-first mindset. -Proven experience in tendering (writing, managing, and winning competitive bids). -Adaptability and drive to work in a fast-moving, evolving industry. -Strong background in business development, sales, or account management in a commercial setting. -Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. -Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and written communication skills. -Ability to identify opportunities and manage a complex sales pipeline.
