Assist in managing safety and security for a large commercial office complex.

Tasks

-Meet with owners, principals, and tenants to discuss security-related concerns and resolutions. -Ensure incidents are documented, investigated, and recorded for insurance and liability purposes. These include slip and falls or criminal activity. -Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload, deadlines, and day-to-day activities of the support team members to ensure effective delivery of services. -Assist the Security Manager in completion and updating the Brookfield Security Assessments, corrective actions, process, and improvements to mitigate risk. -Coordinate Annual Evacuation drills and Fire Warden training and provide regular tenant rep meetings and training on building security and life safety procedures such as fire drills, bomb threats, etc. -Deliver Emergency Response Plan (EAP) Training exercises to Property Management and third-party security vendor. Ensure Emergency Action Plans (EAP) are up to date and reviewed annually with security team or as conditions dictate. -Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus -Oversee daily Security Operations and ensure tenant security concerns are addressed in a timely, effective, and diplomatic manner, providing assistance where possible. -Review, assess and enhance response plans, operating procedures, performance, and testing. Debrief major incidents, document corrective actions, process improvements and enhancements or training -Follow all fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures. Remain up to date on pre-fire plans. -Prepare recommendations for security upgrades, research, obtain quotations and issue Purchase Order’s.

What You Bring

-Experience in Emergency Management preferred with certification in ICS 100 to ICS 300 -High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. -Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. -Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. -Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. -Experience working in a high-rise commercial multi-use complex and familiarity working with ACMS and CCTV is preferred. Must be knowledgeable in security legislation, fire and life safety systems and conducting workplace investigations.
