Tasks
Job Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating all concrete/construction-related activities on construction sites. This includes managing the work of concrete crews, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and coordinating with other trades and project stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to solve problems on the fly. -Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. -Prepare and submit reports to project managers. -Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures. -Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks. -Inspect work for compliance with specifications and industry standards. -Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders. -Ensure proper curing and finishing techniques are used. -Coordinate deliveries of concrete and related materials. -Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed. -Adapt plans and schedules to mitigate delays or disruptions. -Oversee daily operations of concrete crews. -Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise on-site. -Document daily activities, progress, and any issues encountered. -Address and rectify any unsafe conditions or practices. -Provide technical guidance and support to crew members. -Ensure work is performed safely and to the highest quality standards. -Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed. -Review project blueprints, specifications, and construction plans. -Manage labor, equipment, and materials efficiently. -Identify and address any issues or defects in concrete work. -Develop detailed work plans and schedules for concrete/construction (TYP) activities.

What You Bring
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management or related field preferred. -Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications. -Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish Speaking required. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed. -Strong understanding of concrete construction techniques and materials. -Excellent leadership and team management abilities. -Capability to stand, walk, and move around construction sites for extended periods. -OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; ACI (American Concrete Institute) certification is a plus. -Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
