Tasks

-Submit billing through customer portals, as required. -Monitor and respond to job cost email requests. -Provide documentation for internal and external auditors. -Maintain communication with General Contractors and Owners of projects to ensure they have received everything from an Accounts Receivable standpoint to pay MSS timely. Follow up with General Contractors on payment status. -Collaborate with the Project Coordinators and Project Managers -Assist with processing change orders in ERP system and understand financial impact. -Communicate with all staff, Project Managers, Customers and Vendors to ensure proper reporting. -Assist with project accounts payables and receivables, including communicating with subcontractors, vendors, and customers regarding invoices and billing errors. -Assist with job set up in ERP system and understand financial impact. -Set up and maintain all documentation for subcontractors associated with Projects. -Attend project meetings, as requested. -Attend Job Status Review meetings to ensure accuracy on jobs and close jobs timely. -Follow established procedures to accomplish various clerical, contract administration, and accounting duties. -Prepare and submit timely and accurate billing documents and AIA payment applications. -Prepare Sales Tax affidavits and maintain Sales Tax documents related to exemption status. -Maintain understanding of the financial impacts from projects per region. -Enter Subcontractor invoices for Project Management’s approval through DocLink and ensure all documentation is received. Release subcontractor invoices to be paid. -Monitor job status and performance.

What You Bring

-An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred. -Physical Demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and/or below shoulder, handling/grasping documents or office equipment, clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use, lift 25 lbs. occasionally, 5-10 lbs. frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents. -Ability to report project details to Accounting Management -Experience working with financial software and ERP systems, Viewpoint Vista preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. -Periodic visits to regional offices, which may or may not require overnight travel. -At least two years of related experience required. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. -Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. -Job cost and construction experience is required for this position. -Basic accounting principles including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition is preferred. -Must successfully pass a background check and drug test. -Construction AIA forms experience required. -Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision. -Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to accurately work under pressure and meet deadlines -Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts with customers diplomatically. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
