  • Ensure proper alignment, depth, and positioning of piles using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine pile-driving requirements
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
  • Coordinate delivery and storage of materials and tools
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other Foreman to align work with overall project goals
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of pile-driving equipment (e.g., diesel hammers, vibratory hammers, and hydraulic rigs)
  • Schedule and manage contract equipment and operators as needed.
  • Will operate office equipment of all types
  • Resolve conflicts and communicate issues or delays to management promptly
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
  • Monitor ground conditions and adjust methods as needed for safety and effectiveness
  • Evaluate crew performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Track progress and prepare reports on pile installation, equipment usage, and crew performance
  • Supervise and direct pile-driving crews in the installation of steel, concrete, or timber piles
  • Train and mentor workers in pile-driving techniques and equipment operation
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety briefings/toolbox talks

  • Strong knowledge of pile-driving equipment and techniques
  • Work at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use math/complete calculations
  • Detail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe details
  • Hearing and comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions
  • Must be able to manipulate and traverse uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-floor buildings with no elevator
  • Requires strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Will need to perform sedentary to heavy work
  • Ability to drive cars/trucks as needed
  • Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pile-driving operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management/ supervision and field workers
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, reaching overhead, squatting, sitting or standing and lifting
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., but may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical or associate degree in construction or engineering preferred
  • Decision-making skills necessary
  • Talking, reading, and writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
