The Role

Overview

Ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness of a new manufacturing plant.

Tasks

This role will be responsible for verifying that all safety, health, and environmental systems are implemented and validated prior to start-up, supporting a safe and efficient transition from construction to operation. -Confirm implementation of SOPs, permit-to-work systems, and completion of training and competency records. -Verify Management of Change (MOC) actions are resolved or appropriately risk-justified. -Verify closure of HAZOP/LOPA actions for process equipment and systems. -Confirm zoning classifications, ignition source control, grounding/bonding, and segregation of incompatible materials. -Validate exposure control strategies, containment, LEV, closed transfer systems, PPE, and monitoring plans. -Manage deviations and start-up documentation, determining go/no-go status and post-start-up reviews. -Review environmental systems including emissions abatement, waste handling, and water management controls. -Conduct site walkdowns verifying labelling, LOTO, leak checks, alarm tests, and operational readiness. -Ensure installation and testing of safety-critical systems (reliefs, interlocks, detection, fire protection, ventilation).

What You Bring

Experienced EHS professional to play a key role in ensuring a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is safe, compliant, and fully prepared for operation. -In-depth knowledge of Safety, Health & Environmental compliance. -Strong background in regulated manufacturing or GxP environments. -Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. -Minimum 5+ years’ experience in EHS or Process Safety, including direct PSSR involvement. -Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across disciplines.
