Graduate civil engineer supporting multi-disciplinary construction projects across Ireland.

Tasks
-Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan. -Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitably checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements. -Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties. -Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship. -Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports. -Ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan. -The production of survey information and red – lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records. -Assist QS with site quantities and measures for monthly valuations. -Ensure that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used. -Close liaison with the Site Foreman and Works Managers. -Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records. -Resolving technical problems at all levels. -Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations current working practice, contract specification or project requirements. -Ensure the site diary is accurately maintained noting against each record the date, location and serial number of equipment used.

Murphy are hiring Graduate Civil Engineers to work alongside our experienced site engineers across multi discipline construction projects from large scale civils, rail, water, oil & gas and electricity upgrade projects as part of the green energy transition across Ireland. The graduate scheme offers both technical and soft skills courses to help your professional development and growth as a civil engineer. -Setting Out and Surveying techniques (desirable) -Team working skills -Eligible to work in Ireland with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note, we do not provide sponsorship. -Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel -Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control. -Problem solving skills -Degree qualified Civil Engineer (or set to graduate by Sept 2026) -Construction Experience (desirable) -You need a full Irish driving licence due to the locations of projects. -Experience in AutoCAD (desirable)
