Overview
Field service engineer installing & maintaining high‑voltage GIS equipment at customer sites.

Tasks
-Lead technical field assignments and make critical decisions. -Recommend improvements for performance and customer satisfaction. -Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. -Direct field teams and subcontractors to meet project goals. -Ensure construction meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards. -Promote safe practices and meet all health, safety, and environmental requirements. -Travel frequently to project sites, sometimes for extended periods. -Install, modify, and test high-voltage GIS equipment at customer sites. -Perform and document field testing and inspections.

What You Bring
-Strong mechanical and electrical skills. -Valid US driver’s license. -Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. -Fluent in English. -Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software. -Able to travel up to 80%, including to Canada and Mexico. -Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and technical drawings. -2-5 years of proven experience in technical field service work. -Technical diploma/degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred. Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical fields will be considered. -Experience leading crews on electrical projects.
