Laborer - Commercial Construction

Overview

Assist on commercial construction sites with material handling, demolition, and carpentry support.

Tasks

-General clean-up including vacuuming, sweeping, and rubbish removal -Loading, unloading, and moving materials from within or near the construction site from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations. -Build temporary protection including barricades, visqueen, floor protection, etc. -Driving equipment as needed -Assist Carpenter’s general partition layout, framing, sheet rock installation and other rough and finish carpentry work as assigned -Making simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks -Move materials to or from storage or work sites -Selective demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring material and clean up of all demolition debris

-Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines. -Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Work independently and with little direction -OSHA 10, preferred. -Detail-oriented, well-organized, and ability to multi-task. -Proficient in stacking and assembling materials into bundles -Have initiative to find work activities when waiting for next task directive -Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. -Relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred. -Operator's certificate, preferred.
