Tasks
-Lead the design, implementation and deployment of new features and services -Ensure proper monitoring and respond to issues with live environments -Build features and services using Kotlin, Python and front-end technologies -Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, engineers and QA -Work with relational and non-relational data stores -Build APIs, backend services and integrations that support our products -Mentor and coach junior engineers to meet their full potential

What You Bring
Matterport is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You’ll be building features and services for the Matterport Platform, which acts as the glue and entry point for all other Matterport products and services. We handle billions of requests each month, so you must be familiar with building services at scale. The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to pivot when needed and have exceptional personal drive. You should be comfortable working in an API-heavy, microservices environment. However, please note that CoStar Group is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position. -8+ years of development experience, designing and delivering features and services in a cloud environment -Experience with messaging frameworks, such as RabbitMQ and Kafka -Familiarity with Python -Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of platform development -Exposure to non-relational data stores such as FoundationDB -Familiarity with UI frameworks such as React or Angular -Familiarity with Elasticsearch -Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL -Experience with Autodesk Revit or other building information modeling software -Track record of commitment to prior employers -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college -Experience with microservices such as Docker and Kubernetes -A solid track record of developing testable, maintainable, well-documented code -Ability to work well in an agile environment -Experience developing SaaS solutions using modern OOP languages, such as Java and/or Server-side Kotlin -Exposure to or familiarity with Microsoft stack technologies including C#, .NET core, MySQL, etc.

This position offers an annual salary range from $144,000 - $232,000 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
