Overview

Designs and manages roadway projects, prepares plans, estimates, mentors staff.

Tasks

-Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates. -Develop and mentor junior staff. -Work with other disciplines on creative solutions to design challenges. -Coordinate with design team and sub-consultants. -Prepare design documentation. -Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments. -Prepare roadway plan set components including plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets.

What You Bring

-General understanding of Preliminary drainage design and secondary drainage design and analysis on roadway projects. -5-15 years of Roadway Design experience. -Highly organized/Self-motivated. -Ability to work well in a team environment. -Exposure to and general understanding of permitting process, codes, and criteria. -Strong roadway design background. -Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D required. -Ability to think critically. -Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. -Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. -BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering. -Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). -Licensed Professional Engineer (Florida) preferred.
