Tasks
-Become an indispensable part of the team tasked with winning new work and managing preconstruction by learning and applying DD’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). -Learn clients’ goals and help them achieve them. -Collaborate with DD Operations to develop project schedule, staffing, and logistic needs. -Strategize with the DD team to develop a winning approach for each project. -Lead and assist in estimating efforts at the various budgeting milestones. -Team up with other high-performing coworkers. -Lead precon meetings with clients and their design teams. -Assemble and turnover project information to operations to run the job and collaborate with the project manager to ensure a successful project. -Become an expert on the project, invite the needed trades, identify constructability issues, and find conflicting or missing information that needs to be answered or qualified. -Assemble complete and accurate budgets and report on changes in them at each stage. -Participate in Business Development activities to help secure new work. -Lead teams of estimators, PMs, supers, etc. during preconstruction. -Assemble conceptual budgets early in the process based on limited information. -Manage the preconstruction process from start to finish on multiple concurrent exercises. -Negotiate and award subcontracts after a successful bid process.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of all phases of the construction process and how to set each up for success. -Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Box, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, and OST. -Passion for learning and applying new technologies, concepts, and innovative solutions. -Detail-oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude. -Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. -PTO: 1st year: 8 days; Years 2-5: 18 days; 6-10 Years: 23 days, 11+ Years: 28 days -Ability to perform constructability reviews, identify risk, and know how to mitigate it in alignment with the strategized bid approach. -Entrepreneurial team player mindset and ability to multitask. -Outstanding communicator: able to synthesize complex information into simple, actionable insights and ability to communicate technical building processes with construction and non-construction team members equally. -Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fluid environment where priorities can change daily. -Knowledge of all types of bid processes, contracts, negotiations, and winning strategies for each. -Expertise in a wide variety of construction types, methods, equipment, materials, details, and their effect on project value. -Costco or Sam’s Club membership -Experience and proven ability to assemble complete and accurate budgets and estimates on a wide variety of commercial, healthcare, and multi-family project types. -Able to thrive in a positive, friendly, high-energy, and collaborative environment. -Strong personal integrity and the highest ethical standards. -Ability to lead and motivate other team members on group exercises.
