Principal Instrument & Control Engineer

Lead design and management of instrumentation and control systems for green energy projects.

Tasks

-Support globally integrated delivery teams and interface with third-party systems. -Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, BSI, NFPA, ANSI, ASME, API). -Collaborate with process engineers on control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and functional safety assessments. -Develop and review engineering deliverables including P&IDs, instrument lists, control system specifications, and automation documentation. -Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design reviews, and conduct FAT for control systems. -Lead instrumentation and control systems design for greenfield and brownfield projects in the energy transition space. -Specify and manage DCS, PLC, and SIS systems throughout their lifecycle.

What You Bring

-Functional safety certification is a plus -Strong knowledge of ICSS including DCS, ESD, FGS, and instrumentation communication protocols. -Proven experience in instrumentation and control design within green energy, renewables, or infrastructure projects. -Proficiency in engineering and design software, and instrumentation database tools (e.g., SPI). -Familiarity with safety standards IEC 61508, IEC 61511. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Chartered Engineer
