Electrical Engineer - 2026 Work Placement

Overview

Design and model electrical services for building projects using BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Learn and use various design software packages such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux , Elevate etc. to undertake the tasks above. -Work in a BIM environment using Revit and Navisworks to prepare fully co-ordinated 3D design models for projects. -Liaise with and work effectively with staff from other disciplines. -Implement the appropriate QA procedures for all deliverables and ensure compliance with H&S requirements. -Work closely with and take guidance from experienced electrical engineers and BIM technicians. -Design and calculation of electrical services including electrical distribution, cable containment, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, ICT, security and earthing systems.
