Tasks

-Read and interpret complex wiring schematics and electrical diagrams to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and repair. -Diagnose and resolve issues in 12-volt electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components. -Conduct welding and fabrication work as a key responsibility to ensure equipment functionality and durability. -Perform repair and maintenance tasks on public works and municipal equipment, including troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. -Ensure that all work is performed to meet safety and operational standards, including adhering to shop safety guidelines and participating in monthly safety meetings.

What You Bring

-Minimum of five years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of 12-volt electrical systems. -Journeyman Level certification preferred. -Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems and mechanical principles. -Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. -High mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively. -Strong understanding of electrical theory and complex wiring schematics. -Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work. -The work performed is similar to that of an aircraft or heavy equipment technician. -Proficiency in hydraulic systems, including electric-over-hydraulic and air-over-hydraulic systems. -Class 7/8 chassis experience is a plus. -Ability to perform precise and high-quality welding and fabrication work.
