The Role

Overview

Field Service Technician repairs fleet vehicles, drilling equipment, and provides travel support.

Tasks

-Assist in shop fabrication and assembly operations -Assist in completion of all repairs -Locate and requisition parts for repairs -Maintain accurate information for payroll reporting -Evaluate and recommend all repairs with cost estimates -Keep shop, equipment and tools in safe operating condition -Service trucks and equipment to meet the field requirements -Operate equipment and tools involved in shop and field repairs -Rebuild replace or repair drill rigs parts and ancillary equipment -Understand and implement laws and regulations on transportation and safety -Assign priority and process repair work orders -The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a small hand tools. -Troubleshoot and repair various electrical assemblies -Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment -Work in a team environment to maintain a coordinated effort aligned with the business needs -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

What You Bring

-Must have a valid driver’s license, Class B CDL. -Minimum 1 year of experience of travel mechanic experience -Strong organizations skills -The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and/or move over 50 lbs. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. -Previous drilling experience and knowledge of work industry a plus -Ability to work irregular hours and respond to after hours emergency calls as needed -The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. -Forklift, crane and welding certifications a plus. -Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems -Must be qualified per the FMCSA to perform annual DOT inspections. -Ability and willingness to abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct on a daily basis -High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Benefits

-Out of town travel will be required, up to 2 weeks at a time. Travel costs are covered and per diem provided
