Design and implement pharma manufacturing processes from pilot to commercial scale.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Makes use of and participates in the development of company design and production tools, including process simulation and smart P&IDs. -Generates Process P&IDs that include controls strategy and CIP/SIP functions, if appropriate. -Produces specifications and performance data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation. -Estimates utility requirements for new manufacturing processes, design utility generation, and distribution systems. -Assumes ownership of the process-related aspects of a portion of a large project or an entire small project, and provides technical support to the design team. -Produce conceptual design deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams and Material and Energy Balances. -Performs engineering studies for expanding, improving, or automating existing facilities without supervision. -Generates P&IDs for critical utility systems, such as WFI, USP Purified water, and Clean Steam. -Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with clients and members of the IPS design team.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of cGMPs as they affect process design and equipment specification. -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical / Biochemical Engineering. -10+ years of process engineering design experience, preferably in the Biopharmaceutical industry. -Possesses a demonstrated ability to problem solve (with limited direction), effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and manage time.
