Sr. Software Engineer

Ge Vernova

The Role

Overview

Lead AI/ML software development and MLOps for grid control systems using Azure/AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • data analysis
  • ml modeling
  • data preparation
  • model tuning
  • llm development
  • team collaboration

Tasks

-Quantifies effectiveness of design choices by gathering data. Drives accountability and adoption. Publishes guidance and documentation to promote adoption of design. -Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for regression, classification, and other predictive analytics tasks using Python. -Clean, preprocess, and transform data to make it suitable for machine learning models, including handling missing data, feature selection, and data augmentation. -Evaluate models using appropriate metrics and fine-tune them for better accuracy, performance, and scalability. -Work on the development, fine-tuning, and deployment of large language models for various NLP tasks such as text classification and language understanding. -Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Uses experts or other third parties to influence. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams including power system engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver AI-driven solutions. -Work with internal teams and customers to understand requirements & vision. -Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technology to significantly add value to GE. Identifies how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly. -Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.

Requirements
