Overview
Lead and develop a multi‑disciplinary industrial team to safely deliver network projects.

Tasks
-Support the delivery of depot management activities and responsibilities as allocated within Organisational Arrangements documentation as required by the business to ensure effective depot management across the operational depot aligned to the district. -Support the efficient and effective delivery of performance targets as appropriate, such as: -Support the integration of asset stewardship values within teams through delivery, incorporating localised feedback. -Promote and drive exemplary health and safety culture and performance to ensure safe and efficient delivery of all works associated with the overall district delivery plan. -Analyse business performance to ensure ongoing delivery of outputs are completed within unit and authorised prime costs, to required quality standards and within required timescales, identifying opportunities for future improvement. -Proactively assist respective areas in the management of daily and longer term resource planning. -Ensure teams are competent, authorised and equipped to meet the needs of the work programme. -Support the development and delivery of robust short (6-12 week) and medium (3 – 12 month) plans to facilitate business deliverables in line with district plans which are devised to minimise outages to customers. -Prepare and manage budgets and monitor appropriate cost information from relevant financial systems. Focus on minimising discretionary spend and ensure proactive control of costs. -Through utilisation of productivity reports and effective performance management, manage the behaviours and performance of team members, where appropriate ensuring that all concerns are managed in accordance with relevant Company procedures. -Respond appropriately to Customer Complaints, taking ownership and resolving as appropriate -Support robust stakeholder and customer interfaces to facilitate the delivery and communication of short, medium and long term plans and deliverables affecting local communities and stakeholders. -To lead and manage teams to ensure each individual’s potential is fully developed and inspire a culture that ensures the delivery of business outputs. Manage the development of assigned trainees including apprentices, skills seekers, adult craft trainees etc. -Lead and coach a team of industrial staff to ensure safe working practices are utilised in the course of maximising outputs and productivity levels in line with relevant business objectives.

What You Bring
-Experience in a project delivery role or network design role -Contract & SLA management and general commercial & regulatory awareness with the ability to balance customer service, operational delivery and efficient financial performance. -Where appropriate, technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering leading role within a utility environment. -Either a crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ, or equivalent experience -Expert knowledge of standards required of construction and maintenance works, including working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation. -Proven experience of managing, motivating, coaching and developing teams to ensure each individual’s potential is fully developed and to inspire a culture that ensures the delivery of business outputs. -Computer literacy -Ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels -Team management experience, with a strong performance ethos and a track record of driving and delivering projects and initiatives. -Expert knowledge of corporate systems required to manage resource deployment and productivity, finance, output delivery and safety. -Awareness of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices, associated with the management of people and the execution of work plans. -Relevant network construction and operational experience -Full UK Driving Licence -Awareness and understanding of key business drivers and the external commercial context in which SPEN is operating -Effective stakeholder and customer service engagement and management. -Ability to manage competing priorities using practical engineering and financial judgement to determine optimal solutions
