Maintenance Technician

Overview

Perform scheduled maintenance on Class 800/801/802 rolling stock at Doncaster.

Tasks

-Undertake servicing and preparation of the Class 80x rolling stock. -Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and maintenance procedures that support all depot and fleet activities -Support the Maintenance Team Leaders and Duty Shift Managers in the delivery of the production plan. -Working shifts to meet the service requirements of the IEP fleet customers. -Ensure exam tasks are being completed in a timely manner, undertake basic fault rectification or repair when required. -Train driving -Record all work activities and stock consumption using the maintenance management system in accordance with maintenance processes and procedures. -Perform Scheduled Maintenance activities on the Class 800 series rolling stock in accordance with the vehicle maintenance instructions -Undertake driving duties within depot confines in accordance with the depot operating procedures and instructions

What You Bring

-Maintenance experience. -Engineering based NVQ level 3 or higher. -Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster. -Calm and diplomatic under pressure. -Reading electrical, pneumatic, mechanical schematics and drawings. -Can comfortably work within a team or on their own -IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Outlook -Faults finding and diagnosis and write reports -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Working at Height, COSHH, Manual handling, AC HV Electrical isolation up to 25kV -Adherence to all health and safety processes and procedures. -Served apprenticeship with mechanical and or electrical disciplines
