Electrical Designer

Overview

Design, specify, and commission medium/low voltage electrical systems and instrumentation.

Tasks

-Size and specify electrical equipment including raceways, fittings, panels, conductors, terminations, etc. -Walk down a site, collecting all necessary information to perform design work. -Create electrical installation details, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, area classification, and grounding. -Collaborate with a design team of engineers and drafters to produce a complete drawing installation package. -Troubleshoot and commission medium voltage electrical equipment.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD -Programming experience in any of these areas: -Familiar with NEC and other electrical-related codes and standards -Practical field experience with the installation of medium voltage electrical equipment -Practical field experience routing cable -Field experience commissioning and/or troubleshooting medium voltage electrical equipment. -Field experience with medium voltage (2.5kV and above) electrical equipment such as switchgear, motor control centers, transformers -5+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer -Experience designing medium voltage electrical equipment. -Experience with electrical area classification
