Tasks

-Assist with tendering, reviewing MEP proposals, and preparing commercial reports. -Produce interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts. -Provide advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters. -Monitor subcontractor performance, manage variations, and resolve contractual issues. -Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and quality standards. -Prepare and manage MEP cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for projects. -Undertake cost control, value engineering, and risk management for MEP works. -Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to optimise project delivery.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our contracting team delivering commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the Midlands. The role involves managing the commercial aspects of MEP contracts, providing accurate cost reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and programme. -Proficiency in industry software (e.g., CostX, Aconex, Excel). -Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. -Extensive experience working on construction projects in the Midlands. -Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, and other standard construction contracts. -Excellent commercial and cost management skills. -Proven experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment. -Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or related discipline. -RICS or CIOB membership preferred.
