Tasks
-Contribute to improving Cx processes and best practices -Perform Cx reviews of construction documents and equipment submittals -Develop commissioning plans, reports, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures -Perform jobsite field observations, write detailed field reports, and lead Cx meetings -Assist with functional testing of systems -Proactively communicate with a wide range of client stakeholders -Manage and/or support multiple commissioning projects including client interface, team coordination, schedule and budget management -Perform technical analysis of building operation (controls, sequences, etc.) -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals -Troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software -Contribute to improving Cx processes and creating best practices -Assist the Cx Authority/Engineer with completion of construction and renovation commissioning projects -Mentor and develop less-experienced employees in a team-based atmosphere

What You Bring
-Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents (mechanical, controls, plumbing, and electrical drawings, specifications, etc.) -Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC Title 24, ASHRAE, IECC, IMC, NEC, etc.) -Recognized Building Commissioning Certification preferred (or ability and desire to obtain one) -Working knowledge of building automation and lighting control systems -Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required -Ability to travel up to 30% (travel will depend on project needs and may vary widely) -Capable of self-performing functional testing of building MEP systems -Skilled with PDF editors (Bluebeam, Adobe), plus additional online project management software -Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred -3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) consulting industry, or equivalent -This position is not eligible for sponsorship -Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook -Solid understanding of HVAC and electrical system designs and operations -Knowledge of construction industry safety practices and procedures -Working knowledge of Cx Industry Standards (ASHRAE, ACG, BCxA) and code requirements -Work effectively as a team member -Proficient understanding of electrical and fire/life safety systems -Strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a wide a range of clients -7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) design consulting industry, or equivalent
