Overview

Oversee construction safety, conduct training, audits, and incident investigations on site.

Tasks

-Conduct safety meetings and educational programs; interface with labor and management representatives to discuss and resolve safety items. -Assist with pre job planning, auditing the process, and providing direct feedback for improvements. -Document project safety program; including all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities. -Participate in incident reviews with project leadership, senior safety leadership, directors, and others as needed. -Conduct incident investigations and submit reports to safety leadership. -Manage the project safety standards to exceed customer and Barton Malow requirements. -Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities through interface with site personnel, including all sub-contractors. -Conduct project specific safety orientations, Tool Box Talks and all safety related meetings for all employees associated with work on the project.

What You Bring

-Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. -Minimum of 4 years of Construction Safety Management. -OSHA 30 Hour certification. -CHST Certification preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, related discipline or equivalent industry experience. -Willing to travel for extended periods of time for project assignments is essential. -Experience working in the Industrial/Automotive/Energy/Healthcare/Entertainment/Aeronautics is preferred. -OSHA 510 preferred.
