The Role

Overview

Conducts QC tests, inspections, trains staff, ensures UL compliance in manufacturing.

Tasks

-Act as plant liaison to the Tech Center in regard to all QC functions. -This position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors. -Participate in U.L. audits on a quarterly basis. -Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. -Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. -Assist Production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates. -Help to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction across the site. -Communicate quality issues with engineering, shipping and scheduling daily. -Enter all test results into company database and manage documents. -Use dimensional measuring devices to ensure product meets job order specifications, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. -Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions. -Assist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions in relation to product capability and limitations. -Assist external and internal quality audits. -Conduct root cause analysis regarding quality issues, identify and implement appropriate corrective actions.

What You Bring

-Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). -Ability to train and lead Quality Technicians -2+ years related experience required. -Computer and Phone. -Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator. -Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. -Math Skills proficiency up to Algebra and Trigonometry. -Hi-Vis Vests -Education – High School diploma or GED required. -Ability to follow CWT’s policies, procedures, and processes. -Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers. -Good communication, organization, and time management skills. -Forklift/Clamp Truck. -Universal testing machine. -Ability to learn and operate new equipment. -Tape Measure. -Eye, head, and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor. -Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) -Power Tools.
