Director of Engineering - Power Delivery

Description

We are seeking a senior leader to guide and grow our Transmission Engineering operations. This individual will oversee project delivery, team performance, and technical excellence, while driving strategic initiatives to enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency across the organization. In addition, this role will play an active part in expanding client relationships and supporting business development efforts across the U.S. within the power delivery and substation engineering sectors.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape team structure, support hiring efforts, and assist in establishing new office locations.
• Oversee workload management, resource planning, and project delivery timelines for both near-term and long-term initiatives.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business within the transmission and substation space.
• Provide leadership continuity by supporting or filling in for other transmission management roles as needed.
• Contribute to company-wide planning, including strategic growth initiatives, annual revenue targets, and market expansion goals.
• Develop, implement, and refine internal design standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Lead and mentor transmission engineering teams across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality project execution and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in transmission line design, utility consulting, project management, and/or business development
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale transmission projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Must meet company standards for background check, drug screening, and driving record.
