Tasks

-Risk Management & Governance - Identify and manage network services risks across SSE business units, implementing group-wide mitigation strategies. Oversee programme-level risks related to network management and collaborate with stakeholders to establish governance for critical supply chain partners and assets, ensuring compliance with encryption standards, secure access controls, and physical security. -Financial Oversight & Value Realisation - Identify group-level synergies, technology alignment, and supply chain efficiencies. Develop and execute strategies to maximise value for SSE. Monitor and control programme budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and financial accountability, including cost planning for network infrastructure upgrades and platform transitions. -Strategic Planning & Technical Leadership - Provide strategic input into technical roadmaps and business continuity planning, ensuring seamless delivery through operational insight. Maintain oversight of network architecture principles, including IT/OT DMZ segmentation and firewall governance. -Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management - Develop strong relationships with SSE technical, regulatory, procurement, delivery, and operational teams. Collaborate with business units to define network service needs and drive improvements to the operating model and supplier engagement—enhancing efficiency, certainty, and strategic value across services such as LTE, APN, VPN, and fibre.
