Tasks

-Support inventory management by working with logistics and production teams. -Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics. -Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. -Source and purchase raw materials, parts, and manufacturing supplies as needed, ensuring timely deliveries to support production schedules. -Monitor material shortages and expedite orders as required. -Partner with engineering, planning, and production to understand requirements and anticipate needs. -Review and release purchase orders, track delivery status, and resolve any supply or quality issues. -Identify and vet new suppliers, perform risk assessments, and qualify vendors in alignment with company standards. -Evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and drive cost improvements without sacrificing quality.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. -Experience with small metal parts is a plus. -Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. -Negotiation skills and a strong understanding of supplier relationship management. -Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Epicor. -3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
