The Role

Overview

Create and manage EPC project schedules, lead scheduler team, and coordinate across business units

Tasks

-Consult with internal teams (engineering, procurement, project management, field) for feedback. -Contribute to training curriculum development for company-wide schedule management. -Train other personnel in scheduling procedures. -Perform "what-if" analysis for changing conditions, on integrated multiple schedules. -Update schedules bi-monthly, incorporating actuals and monitoring critical path deviations. -Seek feedback from external stakeholders (owners, consultants) to enhance schedule accuracy and buy-in. -Participate in company onboarding to align with project controls objectives. -Attend project meetings (business development, coordination, owner) to gather updates and address schedule issues. -Develop and maintain realistic EPC project schedules using P6 software during business development. -Maintain comprehensive delay logs. -Ensure schedules adhere to CPM best practices with sound logic and realistic durations. -Propose corrective actions to the project team based on schedule analysis. -Lead and mentor assigned schedulers, supporting their personal and career development. -Assist with reporting efforts, ensuring core schedule structure and activity codes are maintained. -Perform quantity take-offs to establish accurate activity durations. -Communicate schedule updates to the project teams, scheduling manager. -Analyze project documents (drawings, contracts) to form the basis of EPC schedules. -Lead internal and external meetings, analyzing all scopes for schedule mitigation, propose solutions. -Assist business development, owners in analyzing and improving project schedules. -Visit job sites to build rapport and understand site-specific details. -Support the maintenance of the P6 database (project/activity codes, file management, comments, notebooks).

What You Bring

-Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Thorough knowledge of construction methods and processes. -Strong ability to read and understand plans and specifications. -Solid understanding of construction-related Critical Path Method scheduling. -Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point). -Minimum 5 years construction scheduling experience. -High proficiency and experience using P6 Software required. -Ability to travel to jobsites. -Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including business writing skills, and professional telephone manner. -Prior Scheduling experience in an EPC environment is required.
