The Role

Overview

Lead design of hotel and restaurant projects, managing teams and BIM deliverables.

Tasks

-Perform material research and selection. -Utilize CAD and BIM software for design and documentation. -Prepare detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to codes and standards. -Prepare 3D computer models and renderings. -Collaborate and communicate with all design team members including architects, engineers, and consultants. -Communicate effectively with clients and provide design presentations. -Manage individual project tasks and contribute to overall project timelines and budgets. -Consistently deliver quality work within established timelines and critical paths. -Assemble progress sets and construction documents with well-developed content in all phases of design. -Depending on level of expertise, potentially mentor or supervise junior designers and architectural interns. -Autonomously develop creative, innovative designs and actionable solutions for assigned projects. -Complete deliverables at prescribed milestones.

What You Bring

-Hotel and restaurant design experience. -Experience with hotel and restaurant projects. -Ability to multi-task between various projects while staying engaged with all. -Facility in producing details across a range of industry-standard construction methods and processes. -Ability to efficiently coordinate and communicate design concepts between the Project Manager, design team and its engineers and consultants. -Confidence in problem-solving and rigor in pursuit of solutions. -Ability to align with company values while positively contributing to firm culture. -5+ years professional architectural experience. -This is a design focused position and will require the demonstration of prior design leadership. The person in this position will have considerable contributions the design of projects. -Additional skill or expertise in Archicad or similar 3D BIM software; Enscape, TwinMotion or similar rendering software; experience in modular design, multifamily and/or hospitality. -Accreditation in recognized green building and human-health certifications such as LEED AP, NGBS / ICC 700, PHIUS, ZERH, WELL, etc. -Familiarity with mandatory building codes, zoning and accessibility standards with reasonable guidance. -Thorough grasp of architectural design principles and construction methods. -Demonstration high quality design skills through built work and rendered project views. -High level of design proficiency -Active participant in the larger community outside of the office.
