Overview
Provide mechanical commissioning services for building systems, including testing and documentation.

Tasks
-Assist in the coordination and implementation of commissioning and performance testing processes and methodologies, this includes effective recording of project details and findings. -Performing building envelope condition assessment and/or building envelope commissioning -Lead the effort with respect to witnessing and documenting functional performance testing of mechanical, electrical and life safety systems. -Design with building mechanical systems and electrical systems -Supporting and participating in a wide variety of building performance engineering projects, including office and onsite project duties. -Assist in the development of project commissioning documentation including Checksheets, commissioning plans and commissioning specifications -Participate in project commissioning meeting while developing experience to chair commissioning meetings. -Review design drawings and specifications and reporting to Clients to verify the proposed design satisfies the Owner’s project requirements. -Assist in reviewing commissioned systems documentation including contractor submittals, QC documentation, Vendor startup reports and O&M manuals -Design, construction and/or testing of fire alarm and fire protection systems -Assist in the development of detailed and concise reports and support the documenting of the commissioning process. -Participate in active field reviews, testing, issue documentation capture and issues resolution of mechanical, and building automation related technical services within facilities. -Lead the development of functional performance test scripts based upon project specific sequences of operation for mechanical systems. -Support with commissioning related proposal pursuit efforts. -Witnessing and documenting automation controls verifications and sensor calibrations, as well as air and water balancing procedures and balancing results.

What You Bring
-Have strong and effective technical writing and verbal communication skills. -Have a strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems -Able to work independently while managing multiple tasks and ensuring deadlines are met. -Either have or be eligible and intend to pursue at least one Commissioning related certification; e.g. BCA, ASHRAE, NEBB, AABC or equivalents. -Mechanical Building Systems (HVAC) Design or construction experience -Be selfsufficient and selfmotivated with strong negotiation skills. -Have experience or be able to successfully execute tasks related to the Commissioning Process -3 to 5 years of building design or construction experience specific to building mechanical systems -Excellent computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) and basic experience in implementing project schedules (utilizing Microsoft Project, Prima Vera, etc.). -Considered an asset if you have experience with any of the following: Practiced working knowledge of LEED and related sustainability guidelines and workflows pertaining to commissioning -Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record as this role will require domestic travel -General consulting experience -Have a proficient understanding of and experience with troubleshooting mechanical building systems, as well as building automation/controls systems. -Any currently relevant sustainable design practices, such as energy modelling or audits, daylight calculations, water conservation, etc. -Engineer in Training or Certified Engineering Technologist in Mechanical or Building Systems.
