Operator, Laser 2nd Shift

Overview

Operate CNC machines, load parts, inspect quality, maintain equipment on 2nd shift.

Tasks

-Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as needed -Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives. -Select appropriate head fixture based on gauge of material, enter nest information, adjust speed/feed components and run programs. -Responsible for loading parts, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. -Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production. -Communicate with managers, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues. -Perform inspection, preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally. -Organize workload to maximize material flow process. -Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

What You Bring

-Ability to use overhead crane. -High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required. -Formal CNC Machining education or equivalent experience, preferred. -Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. -Minimum 1 year related work experience, required -Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am
