Structural Designer

Overview

Create Revit 3D/2D construction documents for industrial and self‑storage projects.

Tasks

-Create 3D views or renderings as needed -Work collaboratively with other team members and other design disciplines to create 3D models and 2D drawings -Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and ARCO standards -Visit job sites for site observation purposes and drawing coordination -Create new Revit families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, etc. as needed to improve efficiency of drawing production -Monitor work progress, anticipate changes or issues, and inform appropriate team members -Assist the structural engineering project lead

What You Bring

-Revit experience is required; preferably a working understanding of the creation and use of families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, view templates, and filters -Detail-oriented mindset with an understanding of the importance of clear, concise, and consistent model creation and drawing documentation -2+ years of relevant building design experience utilizing Revit, OR a Degree in related discipline (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, and/or CAD, etc.) plus 1 year of relevant experience -Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings -Ability to exercise judgment and discretion to set priorities and manage competing demands of multiple simultaneous projects and project managers -Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) -Reliability in delivery of excellent construction documents using verbal or high-level written descriptions, without detailed instruction or “redlines" -Experience with concrete, structural steel, metal stud detailing, and cold-formed metal framing is preferred. -Active and responsive communication skills (both written and verbal) -Experience in Dynamo is a plus
