Tasks

-Mentor, coach, and motivate team members to achieve professional growth and project success. -Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, setting clear expectations and ensuring high-quality project execution. -Provide technical expertise and oversight across line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, material specifications, constructability evaluations, permitting, and construction support. -Oversee work order package preparation, vendor/subcontractor coordination, and procurement activities. -Review and approve engineering design submittals to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance. -Estimate projects, prepare proposals, and manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. -Drive client engagement, building strong long-term relationships.

What You Bring

We are currently seeking a Lead Engineer with senior-level expertise in high-voltage and extra-high-voltage overhead transmission line design. This is a leadership role where you will guide a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters while remaining hands-on with complex technical design and project delivery. -Over 60 years in supporting T&D projects. -Experience collaborating with substation, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance teams. -Proven ability to manage projects, lead teams, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. -Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards: NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI. -Ability to work safely and ensure compliance with safety regulations. -Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation). -Advanced expertise with PLS-CADD (required). -10+ years of transmission line engineering experience within the electric utility industry. -Professional Engineer license (required). -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
