Tasks

-Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager -Promotes Cantera’s culture of “Safety First” -Manage schedule and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of schedule -Assure necessary permits are secured and inspections occur -Inspect cost reports to ensure they reflect accurate quantities -Actively coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and craft workers to meet project schedule -Monitor costs, including labor, time, and material -Review, understand, document to drawings, and assist Project Managers with all Requests for Information (RFIs) -Maintain and verify as-built drawings are accurate -Complete Daily Project Reports, Concrete Logs, Sign-in sheets, and other documents -Maintain on-site accurate shop drawings for implementing the work -Communicates with Safety Professionals to ensure a safe workplace -Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force -Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts -Coach and mentor crews -Report project manhours and quantities on a timely basis -Coordinate location of control for layout with the Cantera Field Engineering Department -Proactively identifies and halts unsafe work practices, and promptly reports them to management to ensure a safe work environment -Works on-site over rough terrain -Mobilize the site and set up site utilities -Maintain a working relationship with internal and external clients

What You Bring

The Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned to achieve safe, quality, and profitable projects completed in a timely manner. The Superintendent directly supervises the field labor force, including laborers/craft workers. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organization, time management, effective communication, and client service skills. Work Experience -Four (4) years of construction experience -Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally -Must be able to climb and work at heights above 6 feet -Able to engage in a variety of tasks, and consistently meet deadlines -ACI Concrete Testing Technician preferred but not required -ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician preferred but not required -Strong attention to detail -Strong decision-making/problem-solving skills -Must be able to lift 70 lbs. -Frequent activity of standing, kneeling, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling -First Aid preferred but not required -Exhibits strong leadership qualities -Must be comfortable with travel on an as-needed basis -Able to perform duties independently -Ability to lead 10+ man crew -Computer and mobile device knowledge and efficiency -CPR preferred but not required -Three (3) years of concrete experience -Excellent time management and organizational skills -OSHA 30 preferred but not required
