Manage product development, launch, and portfolio for strips and low‑bay lighting.

Tasks

-Manage project expectations while providing timely escalation for product deviations as needed to mitigate quality and/or supply chain risks. -Drive KPI compliance with the team, including but not limited to phase gate compliance and performance tracking of productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, inventory, and sales growth. -Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. -Lead, inspire, and influence the team to work according to the product development system with phase gates, milestones, and predefined deliverables. -Define product roadmap, and effectively define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. -Maintain regular communication with stakeholders including timely updates on project status, milestones, and any changes to the project plan. -Effectively and proactively manage the product category portfolio with margin, mix, volume, product positioning, determine discontinuations where needed, to drive the overall productivity and profitability of the product category. -Work with company support teams including product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales to support product categories and new product launches. -Be the product champion with external partners like customers, sales, and internal partners like engineering, marketing, supply chain, and finance. -Present and provide product training for assigned product categories and other adjacent categories for all support teams, channel partners, and customers.

What You Bring

-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. -Understand customer base, applications, and competitors for assigned categories as needed to develop competitive solutions and generate sales growth. -Strong understanding of product development life cycle. -Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field. MBA a plus. -Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. -4+ years product management in electrical manufacturing, durable goods, preferably within the lighting industry. -Strong communicator and team player. -Have a basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques that allows one to lead and challenge the team. -Proficiency in project management tools and software. -Direct knowledge of lighting products, applications, and key competitors.
