The Role

Overview

Design and oversee building electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects.

Tasks

-Make the selection of equipment. -Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program -Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships -Prepare technical reports -Prepare construction cost estimates -Liaise with mechanical team on HVAC system design etc. -Participate in the electrical design of the building, such as electrical distribution, lighting including AGI32 calculation, fire alarm, etc. -Project planning including design schedule, and proposed construction schedules -Prepare specifications -Perform building assessments for electrical systems. -Prepare proposal submissions including pricing, agreements, and/or response to RFPs

What You Bring

-Good command of Revit and AutoCAD software -Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent -ASP Construction card (an asset) -3 to 5 years of relevant experience -Valid Driver's license. -Proficiency in French (an asset). -Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations -Need to have demonstrable experience in building electrical systems (electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, hvac) etc. -To be entittled as Professional Engineer by the licensing and regulatory body (ex: Engineers Nova Scotia, PEO, etc.); -Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
