The Role

Overview

Assist in cost and contract management, stakeholder coordination, and project documentation.

Tasks

-Ensure that proper records, including final accounts, are kept and maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available. -Work closely with sub-contractors, while ensuring that the needs of a project are met -Develop contract management skills, understanding the New Engineering Contract (NEC) contract and how change control works. -Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, while minimising costs to maximise the value received -Promote our quality, cost, and efficiency strategy to ensure everyone is minimising costs and maximising value and assist with maintaining our world class safety culture – through the production of critical designs, health and safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans

-In the mid‑1970s it expanded into general building, then turned to pipelines and pumping stations in the 1980s. -By the 1990s its civil‑engineering focus deepened, culminating in the 1999 launch of a major JV partnership. -Typical projects span water infrastructure, hydroelectric power, industrial buildings, highways and coastal works. -Clients include major water companies, Environment Agency, Canal & River Trust, Rolls‑Royce, P&G and Associated British Ports. -The 2013 merger with JBA Consulting formed a new entity offering integrated low‑carbon environmental solutions.
