The Role
Overview
Lead multi-disciplinary ports and navigation projects from planning through construction.

Tasks
-Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications. -Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff. -Serves as Project Manager for small to large ports and navigation projects including dredging, beneficial use of dredged materials, feasibility studies and costal restoration projects. -Provides technical leadership for projects from the planning phase through construction on all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects. -Builds and maintain relationships with clients and Industry professionals. -Coordinates with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projects. -Actively participates in ports and marine industry specific conferences and professional organizations. -Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods. -Assists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications.

What You Bring
-Texas Professional Engineer License -BA/BS in Coastal, Ocean, Naval Architecture, or Civil Engineering plus 8 years of relevant work experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Proven experience in business development and project delivery. -Strong computer skills. -Knowledge or familiarity in AutoCAD and/or GIS. -Ability to work both independently and in group environments. -Demonstrates experience in conventional and advanced technologies and alternative delivery projects. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Willingness to travel (typically for one to three days occasionally). -Competent in all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and quality. -M.S. degree in Coastal or Ocean Engineering or relevant field is preferred -Twelve (12) years of relevant experience (i.e. construction, previous work with consultants, etc.) -Reputation as a high performer. -Prior experience with Galveston, Fort Worth, Mobile, and New Orleans Districts or other Districts of the USACE and Texas and/or state projects preferred.
