Software Test Engineer

Tasks

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for both manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, security, and functionality of our products meet the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in software testing while making a meaningful impact on the success of our products. -Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to define testing strategies early in the development lifecycle. -Contribute to release readiness by validating features and providing clear feedback on quality risks. -Perform exploratory testing of new software builds. -Root cause analysis for the issues found during QA process. -Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web, mobile, and API layers. -Optionally ensure correct hardware/firmware data is captured and interpreted (e.g. temperature sensors, meter readings, etc) -Maintain and improve automated test suites for reliability, coverage, and speed. -Ensure recent software changes haven’t broken existing features. -Test the new software is compatible with existing firmware. -Design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure product quality. -Track, log, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues. -Confirm proper logging and fault detection during device operation. -Verify UI/UX for mobile applications and large screen.

If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to help us deliver high-quality software, we'd love to have you on our team! -Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub). -Solid understanding of defect and test management software (e.g., Jira or similar). -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. -Hands-on experience with test automation (preferred). -Experience writing test cases, checklists, and test plans. -Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence). -Familiarity with a range of testing techniques and methodologies. -Proven experience writing and executing test cases for web and/or mobile applications. -Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business contexts. -Ability to provide accurate testing estimations. -Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. -3+ years’ experience in software testing or quality assurance.
