Tasks

-You will be responsible for leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.. -You will be responsible for key client relationship management, including generating live prospects and leads. -You will commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet, and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold the Mace values. -You will use your network to identify talent, lead recruitment, and manage the development, retention and mobility of people, and support our people to achieve their highest potential. -You will directly influence long term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future. -You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage. -You will be a leading advocate of Mace's value of Safety First, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance standards for the design resources you manage. -You will mentor, coach, and develop your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience. -You will lead the design management sub-function accountable for performance, delivering an annual business plan outcomes to time and budget -You will Implement and execute the design management system, processes and protocols to meet statutory, legal, and contractual requirements. -You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.

What You Bring

-You will possess advanced technical expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio. -Membership of, CIBSE, CIOB, ARB, RIBA, MICE RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. -Extensive knowledge of statutory regulations, in particular building regulations, fire regulations, planning and listed building consent. -Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on. -Depth of experience of managing relationships with many key senior stakeholders. -A degree in engineering, architecture, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. -Ideally commercial/private sector experience, working with clients in the banking/finance sector would be highly valued. -Extensive professional design management experience with a focus on engineering building services and retrofit. -Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes through all stages. -You are confident working with digital design and management programmes. -Depth of knowledge of MEPH systems within Listed buildings and working on MEPH retrofit projects. -Leadership and management and experience of large, diverse teams. -Extensive experience working with statutory utility bodies.
