- Serve as the primary representative on-site, overseeing contractor performance and verifying compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations
- Coordinate with NJDOT, NJTA, municipal stakeholders, contractors, and AECOM project management
- Monitor project schedule, budget, and quality metrics, proactively addressing issues as they arise
- Prepare progress reports, maintain accurate records, and participate in project meetings
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental compliance requirements
- Manage daily inspection activities, field staff, and project documentation
- Review and process contractor submittals, requests for information, and change orders

- Proficiency with NJDOT and NJTA specifications, policies, and construction administration procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, +6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
- NICET Level IV certification in Transportation/Highway Construction
- The ideal candidates will have significant prior experience on New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey
- Familiarity with electronic project management and documentation systems (e.g., Primavera, CapEx, NJDOT Site Manager)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 10 years of construction inspection and contract administration experience on transportation projects half of it in the capacity of Resident Engineer
- PE License (NJ Preferred)
